IPV-PuPe (ft.Duudsonit & Antero Mertaranta)

Some more sports photography. This time I was doing a game of Finnish baseball for my hometown team. I was also shooting the VIP event before the game as well as the pre-game shows. The game itself was fantastic but one sided. Home team won 21-0 total.

Please, like my facebook page to se more of my photography :)

Some football

In the previous post I told you about my passion for sports photography. Well today was one great day in that perspective. I finally got my copy of Sony 70-400G lens which is one one best lenses for sports in Sony's lineup. Of course there are the grat primes 300/2,8 and 500/4 but they also cost and weight like hell so I prefer this one and enjoy the flexability of a zoom lens.

Thanks to Sami Käkränen a coach of Imatra Flash junior team for taking to me see their team practicing. My idea was only to test the new lens and it's capabilities but I ended up with few quite ok pictures so I might as well share them. Here they are.. click to enlarge:

Pesiskausi avattu

The New Era - Happy Holidays

Hei, haluttiin vaan tällä kuvalla toivottaa kaikille mukavat joulun ajat.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, we just wanted to wish you all happy holidays with this picture.. nothing special about it really. We're going to take a little holiday break to be with our families and friends. Nesti is also going to do lots of things with his new band. Today is also the day when our competition in facebook ends. If you like our pictures then there's some very nice prizes and quite good changes to win something.. so go check it out! We're going to try to publish the winners in january. Take care, we'll see you in 2013 ;)

Yours sincerely, Eira & Nesti

The New Era - Little Hideaway to be Who I Am

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the tittle says it all. A girl goes into her secret place where she can truly be herself and not be affected by social pressure.

We also did an alternative version:

The New Era - Dance in the Pouring Rain

Nyt ei oo sanoja, vain tämä kuva.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have no words, just this picture.

The New Era - Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Equality, strangers, love at first sight were the themes when we started planning this picture. We wanted to have this mysterious, rich-looking guy to give something to this poor girl laying on the street corner and the girl to be like "Omg, who are you, what you're doing?". In the end we decided to go with the ring so some of you might think this as a proposal but that's not what we planned to do. And we would also like to ask for mr. Ilkka Remes (famous finnish author) to give us some pocket money for promoting him.

The New Era - Last Supper for an Old Friend

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Because of Nesti's non-military service we've had really tough month but we're trying the best we can with our limited time to create atleast something. Here's the latest photo:

Imaginaerum by Nightwish Premiere, Hartwall Areena 10.11.12

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was in Nightwish concert last night and this time fully as a customer. Still I took my camera with me (stupid photographer!) and took some shots from the croud. Here are the first ones but I'll most likely add more photos when I can get myself into a better computer :)

Btw, the movie was freaking awesome I still can't believe what I saw - you should all go to check it out if you haven't already.. and even if you have!

The New Era - Would You Fall With Me?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

It's quite beautiful time here in Finland and this time we wanted to use all those beautiful colors our nature is giving us at the moment. So we took a huge pile of fallen leaves and put them around Eira and here is the result.. it's also our first picture which was really set up as you can see..

Btw, The New Era competition is going on Facebook. You can enter it by sharing our pictures. For more info and rules: https://www.facebook.com/events/487083837993089/
